Questions before you send the brief
Quick answers to help you send the right detail.
What information should I include in my MC enquiry?
Event date, location, format (conference / awards / gala / launch / fundraiser), expected guest count, run-time, and one sentence on the tone you're after. That's enough for me to confirm availability and come back with a fee.
How quickly will John respond to a corporate MC enquiry?
Within one business day, usually same-day. If the date is inside four weeks, mark it 'urgent' in the message and I'll prioritise the response.
Can I check date availability before sending a full brief?
Yes — a quick 'are you free on [date]?' message is fine. I'll confirm availability before we get into the detail of the brief.
Do you offer a phone or video call before booking?
Always — a 20–30 minute call is standard once we've established mutual interest. It's the fastest way for both sides to test fit before a quote.
Where is John based and how far does he travel for events?
Based in Melbourne (Plenty VIC). I host events across all Australian capital cities, regional Victoria and occasionally internationally for Australian companies. Travel is quoted transparently in writing.
What's the next step after I send a brief?
I'll respond with availability and a ball-park fee. If it lands, we have a call, agree the scope, and I send a deposit invoice to lock the date. From there I'm yours for the run-sheet build.
